  Hardly ever do I feel compelled to write a review of a restaurant, office, or product online, but I can't let my experience at Advanced Occupational Medicine go undocumented. I was referred to this office to get a walk-in sports physical for a program at my college. Thinking there might be a wait I arrived first thing, to try and get in right when the office opened at 8 am. Not only did I beat the nursing and reception staff there, but I wanted for about a total of an hour and 45 minutes in the waitingroom and exam room for a 15 minute exam. The facility was clean and the staff was friendly, but they were slow, to say the least, and relatively unprofessional. Once in the exam room, the physician who saw me spent more time lecturing me on the philosophy of general practitioners, walk-in clinics, and his own personal history than paying attention to my chart, medical history or my examination. Thankfully I did not visit for a medical concern, the procedure was merely a prerequisite for an activity at Kalamazoo College, but if I did visit for a medical condition, I would have not felt very confident or comfortable with the physician's attitude, and manner. Instead of listening to my answer when he asked me questions about some of the information on my medical history form, he repeatedly cut me off and answered the questions for me, often telling me the nature and reason of some of the medicine's I had been prescribed by my own doctor (reasons, you would think, I already was familiar with). At the end of the exam, he kind of rushed out hurried to his next patient as if I was the one gabbing away all of his patient time. I cannot recommend this office not only out of their pure disorganization and slow concept of TIME, but for the unprofessional attitude with which I was treated by a mature and long-time practitioner of medicine.
